Pop Mhan!
A fantastic artist who has done great high profile artwork with all of the major publishers. Here is a short list: Batgirl, Marvel Adventures Spider-Man, SpyBoy, Spyboy and Young Justice, and a brand new book from manga publisher Tokyo Pop called "Blank"! This will be Mr. Mhan's first time at the Virginia Comicon. Come early to talk to him about his upcoming projects. We will be talking to Mr. Mhan about bringing as much original art as he can...so be sure to get in line early...we don't expect his art to stick around long!
Randy Green!
This Dude's credits read like a must-read selection of comics from all of the big publishers! He has done pencils on...are you ready?...Buffy, Teen Titans, New X-Men, Witchblade, The Dolls, Tomb Raider, Decimation: The House of M, Emma Frost and More! Whew! And the best thing? His buddy Rick Ketcham, who has inked a great deal of his work is going to be with him...read more below!
Rick Ketcham!
An amazing comic inker who has done work on all sorts of comics for all of the major publishers. He will be bringing tons of original artwork with him, and you can see how well he compliments Randy's pencils. Who knows...if you get there early enough you MAY be able to get a commissioned piece pencilled by Randy and inked by Rick! Why not pick his brain on his upcoming project with Joss Whedon while you are at it! Psst....it ryhmes with "Runaways"!
Louis Small Jr.!
We are Pleased to welcome Mr. Small back to our show! He is known for art chores on a host of fun material from the last decade, including Shi, Lady Death, Vampirella, Codename: Knockout for DC Vertigo, and more! Mr. Small will be bringing original art for sale, signing, and will be taking a limited number of sketch commissions, so get there early!
Kevin Sharpe!
Kevin is certainly a VA Comicon Fan Favorite! Mr. Sharpe has been one of the biggest names to take part in the Dynamite explosion that is...well..Dynamite! Army of Darkness fans know Mr. Sharpe's work very well, and we can't wait to see more of his work coming soon on some exciting BattleStar Galactica projects for 2007. On a side note, Kevin began working years ago on Vampirella...the same series that Louis Small Jr. worked on. NEAT! ( Recent work: Supergirl and the Legion of Super-Heroes #29 and OUTSIDERS: FIVE OF A KIND — WEEK 2: KATANA/SHAZAM )
Brett's Comic Publishing!
The Virginia Comicon will mark the world-debut of two books published by Brett's Comic Pile, the co-promoter of the Virginia Comicon! The first, Spikey and Einstein is drawn by Cartooning instructor Kirk O'Brien. O'Brien has taught thousands of young people cartooning, and has been published nationall. This comic marks his first full-length project! We could not be more proud to be publishing this comic!

Also, Brett's Comic Pile is proud to be the new publisher for Sanctuary: Hope is not yet lost! You have seen these guys at the comicon before, but NEVER like this. Digitally painted by Kevin Roberts, a rising superstar who received an A on this book for his final project from VCU's illustration school (the East Coast's Top illo school!), Sanctuary is published right here in Richmond, VA. Cool!
21st Century SandShark Studios!
Dan Nokes is a regular sight at the Virginia Comicon. We welcome him back after a 6 month absense. Who knows what craziness will come out of this guy, but you can be certain he will have heaps of original artwork for sale.
